Hi i'm Kai, owner of Radio Stylus, we are a family friendly, fully inclusive station for people of all ages. I`ve been involved in internet radio for over 10 years. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of running a station past and present, from being a station manager to presenting outstanding shows of all genres. I am one of the most versatile presenters you will come across. I will virtually play anything that gets requested, (has to be family friendly) My aim is to please YOU the listener, so welcome, grab yourself a drink, pull up a chair, relax and listen to some outstanding music.

As a youngster I was always listening to music at every opportunity, and this led to pretending to do radio shows on the cassette deck and I even recorded shows onto them. I enjoy listening to music and enjoy various genres; however, the 80s is my favourite. During the 80s / 90s I was a volunteer for local radio stations and assisted in various aspects of broadcasting. To this day I think I’m in charge (Not if Ruth has anything to do with it), but I will let you make your own mind up on that one lol.
I have been married to Ruth for many years and we live together in West Wales UK with Mel and our teenage son. I started off my radio careers doing Hospital radio where I presented a variety of shows including request shows over a period of 17 years. During my radio career I have had the opportunity to join radio stations in the UK who had RSL and was able to broadcast on FM. As well as presenting radio shows, I have been helped by Ruth to manage my own mobile DJ and karaoke service. I have gained a lot of valuable experience presenting on another internet radio station for the last 3 years. I love presenting music and my favourite show is Lydia’s Lounge, although I can also be heard at other times here on Radio Stylus. |
As a youngster I was always listening to music and singing, and this led me pretending to use my hairbrush as a microphone in the garden. I enjoy listening to music and enjoy various genres; however, the 80s is my favourite. I have been married to Lydia for many years and we live together in West Wales UK with Mel and our teenage son. I started off my radio career when I met Lydia in 1997 who was doing Hospital radio. There I co - presented a variety of shows including request shows over a period of 8 years. During my radio career I have had the opportunity to join radio stations in UK who had RSL and was able to broadcast on FM. As well as presenting radio shows, I have helped Lydia manage her own mobile DJ and karaoke service and this is the reason I blame that I am deaf. I have gained a lot of valuable experience presenting on another internet radio station for the last 3 years. I love presenting music and look forward to bringing fun, frolics, great music, and more banter to Radio Stylus. |
So, with over 15 years of radio experience, obviously I’ve seen a lot of changes to the way things are done, but however it’s done, I do it with FUN! Hi, I’m Caitlin, aka The Sexy One! I started in Hospital Radio in 2006 and, as they say, the rest is history. Here from the ground up at Radio Stylus. Four different shows can be found on the schedule, with each show needing a different style of presentation. The key show is Caitlin’s Charts and Choices, the only show I ever need to do any preparation work beforehand. Nothing But Number Ones with me and the dreaded RNG (that’s Random Number Generator) brings us all the Number Ones but thanks to the RNG I never know what I am going to play! Sundays is where I allow the listeners to get in on the act, with Girl Power and Male Mayhem doing exactly what they say they are. Although I can choose what to play, I like these shows to be request driven, so feel free to pop into the Chatroom and say Hi and I’ll get a request on for you! I look forward to the pleasure of your company here on Radio Stylus, and do check out our Schedule to see what else takes your fancy. See you all on air!

I studied media production and then obtained a City and Guilds in "Print Journalism and Radio Production" from the College of North East London.
Did radio shows at university whilst doing a journalism and politics degree at Middlesex University. Did shows for community radio station in London with FM license called Streetlife Radio. Plus I have worked on other stations throughout the years. I am a self confessed radio geek. I love all things "radio" I'm a big snooker and darts fan and was a decent junior snooker player in my slightly younger days. I was born in Walthamstow in East London and now live around 4 miles down the road from where I was born, in Chingford. |
Dave is currently an old and burnt out semi retired super hero working in community safety, although Dave is meant to be an office bound paper shuffling, policy writing and fire safety inspector just say the word and he is more than happy to jump in the seat of a big red truck and drive it off to save the world.
But Dave's radio bio almost reads like a fairy story, starting with a "long time ago", Dave's radio career goes way back to high school where he studied Communication Arts which including radio broadcasting as part of the curriculum and also did volunteer radio shows on the local university FM station aged about 13 . Dave went to college and some how mixed in with wild parties, girls, volunteer radio and a little smidgen of study, ended up with a couple of degrees in electrical engineering and what was once called microcomputer support engineering and some type of broadcast engineers ticket. Dave worked in radio in both on air and or in technical jobs for many years on both commercial and government radio stations. Dave will tell you that some of his last radio jobs were in fact installing the Automation systems which would be the download fall of the Common Backyard Radio DJ in Australia . Dave bummed around while working from radio job to radio job, doing stuff like night shift electrical fitter at a food canning factory, long distance truck driver, tour and school bus driver, college lecturer, assistant town planner, fixer man for a recording studio and travelling electrical/truck driver/roadie/dude in a black t-shirt with a PA hire company working for some of the biggest Aussie touring bands back in the day. Sometime back in 2000s after 25 years in and around radio, Dave found himself on some type of government assisted retraining scheme for ex radio breakfast announcers which turned them into fire eating super heroes and that's been Dave's life since then. Dave after many years is now back with his first love, radio and doing shows the old school way on internet radio. Oh by the way Dave hates country music of the Nashville type and don't mention Keith Urban to Aussie Dave, the two have a long running feud that's best not talked about. |
My DJ career started in the later part of 1988, doing disco's, playing good old vinyl records, old school style, to an ever growing audience. Then in 1990 I started doing my first radio shows on a land based pirate radio station in the Midlands. On that station I played a varied mix of upbeat tunes from the 60's, 70's and ofcourse 80's. Chart hits with my wacky sense of humour. I could tell you some funny stories of my pirate radio days, but don't worry, I won't hehe. Through out the 1990's I was touring disco's, travelling all over the UK, and had a very popular international radio show that broadcast from a well known radio station in my home land of Cornwall. Towards the end of the 90's I did club work in Cornwall and Tenerife, with my radio shows running along side. The 90's was a very busy non stop decade for me and I really enjoyed all the attention. When the 2000's kicked in I decided to take things a little more easy after ten years of the fast life and concentrated more on radio and a little less on public DJ'ing. From 2002 to 2010 I took a break from doing disco's and club work. Plus this is the time period that I made some good friends with high profile radio presenters within the British and American radio industry. 2010 still doing popular radio shows and then restarting doing disco's by popular demand. I even got to DJ in a night club in Miami and did a few radio shows as a guest presenter on a radio station whilst in America. Bringing things up to date, in the last five years I have worked for a very well known offshore pirate radio station, onboard a ship, that was a very exciting few years, and internet radio broadcasts, plus community radio stations, and I officially took the decision to retire from doing disco's in 2020. I still keep the happy upbeat tunes spinning here on Radio Stylus, with my sense of humour and warm personality.

Ian started off with his love of radio in Hospital radio. From there he moved in to community radio and commercial radio. However his unique style of witty, fun radio became more suppressed by the corporate big wigs so he decided to move away in to the world of internet radio.
With side projects of singing with two bands, a voice over artist and turning out as comedy character Tommy Titters, Ian is a busy chap! |
Alison is a down to earth, straight talking northern lass / presenter who can normally be found constantly interrupting and annoying her other half. However, from time to time you will find her presenting her solo show. Alison loves to play anything from golden oldies, country, classic rock as well as belting out tunes from well-known stage shows. Alison has been presenting shows either solo or with her other half for over 17 years.
